I'm assuming you mean Nothing Else Matters from Metallica and not Lauryn Hill. If it's Lauryn Hill, then I'd be confused.

(Check it out, I used an If...Then... idiom)

We actually have an audio prodram that was been engineered for taking the GMAT: the TPNY Full Potential Audio Series: GMAT.

There is information on the website, but briefly, it was created by educators, sound therapists, and holistic counselors It was created to optimize test-taking potential by enhancing retention, recall, concentration and confidence...and improving endurance and getting rid of test anxiety.

Students use the program 1 week to 2 months before the test (It's 5.5 hours long, 6 CDs, and ~35 exercises), and listen to the bonus track before the test day.

Folks who only use the CD report they feel energized but calm, and are able to endure their test, and stay present. That is what the product is designed for.

You can listen to a free sample at:

Whoa. I didn't think there was real "GMAT" music available. I would have bought this and listened to it all day and night.

Try music that will relax you not that excite you. I am also a metal fan - During hostel days we use together listen to heavy music and head-bang together before the exam.. Haha good ol days. But its harmful. Relaxation and calmness is the key. Search for Steven Halpern music. I usually logon to Pandora.com and play the Steven Halpern station. Only time will tell how correct I am, but the sample music on MGMAT is similar.

I remember reading studies that showed listening to classical music improved your test taking ability?

O well - It's been a while. Probably doesn't really matter
