The sale of government surplus machinery will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until the supply lasts.
(A) will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until the supply lasts
(B) begins at 9 a.m., continuing until the supply lasts
(C) will begin at 9 a.m. and, until the supply lasts, will continue
(D) begins at 9 a.m. and, as long as the supply may last, it continues
(E) will begin at 9 a.m. and continue as long as the supply lasts

why not A?

What is OA?

Actually i shortlisted A and E and chose E finally, but i think it should have 'will' continue... and for some reason 'as long as' projects more in future than 'until' as it limits. But then someone pointed out that until makes the sentence more consice.
Let me know, IMO E

ur answer is correct. though i am still not convinced with ur 'as long as' and 'until' explanation. by the way both a and e have 'will' and 'will' implies to 'continue' too
