Which One is correct

1) Having read the book, there is no question that the book is better than the film

2)Having read the book, I have no doubt that the book is better than the film.

Which one is correct and why??

I'm very surprised at the OA you posted. "Having read the book" is a modifier for the book-reader, so I think it should be followed with a person.

Actually they were giving an example of How to deal to errors in modifiers, and over there they gave these two examples saying the first one is correct and not the second one

Although no explaination was given about them


Please let me know any explanations for this

#1 Can't be correct. In fact it is a dangling modifier. The subject performing the action is missing, it can't be "there is no question"

#2 The subject performing the action is "I" so it's ok.

#2 The subject performing the action is "I" so it's ok.
I just checked it Again,OA is (2)
