IMO both are correct.
in as...as, the first as is followed by an adjective or adverb and the next as by a noun/phrase/clause. (MGMAT pg:255)

Both are correct. The verb is repeated typically only when there is ambiguity in the sentence (She calls Dan more often than Stella could be She calls Dan more often than Stella calls him or She calls Dan more often than she does Stella).
