Transferring MBA credits?

by jaybrium » Tue Nov 25, 2008 10:12 am
BTG Community,

Quick question: are MBA course credits transferrable between programs? Are they transferrable if a student starts PT @ one school and finishes up FT @ another school?

The reason I ask is because I currently live in Glendale, AZ, but plan on moving to New York City in about 2 years. I'm only 24, so I figured I'd start school when I move to the city; but now I'm thinking I could save some serious money by knocking off a few courses @ Arizona State University.

So... could I start as a PT student @ ASU and eventually transfer my credits to Columbia, NYU, Fordham, or where ever I ultimately end up (as a full time student)?

Thanks guys and gals,
- Jay

Short answer - No, at least not at a top 25 school - unless the school has a partnership (usually with international programs)
