GMAT - 2 weeks to go (Help required)

by vijaynarayanan » Fri Jul 16, 2010 6:27 am
Hi

I have 2 weeks for the D Day. I took the GMAT Prep 1 test today and scored a 690 (48Q, 36V). Please could someone advice where I really need to buck up.

My main areas of concern are,

Math
1. Numbers
2. Sets and Venn Diag
3. P&C

Verbal
SC - Pronouns, Tenses and Idioms
CR - Assumptions & Bold Faces
RC - nothing specific... just that really dry passages like arts, humanities completely ticks me off.

Any help, pointers, etc. in these broad areas would definitely help.

I have not even touched AWA... is it a good time to start or should I give it a crack in the last week.

Thanks for all the help so far... BTG.

Hi Vijay,

Since you know your specific weaknesses, I would suggest that you use the drill generator (a part of the gmatfix Solutions Engine - SE) to generate and take high level drills in your specific weak areas (you can choose the topic you want to practice as well as the difficulty level), then spend time going over the provided solutions carefully.

Don't buy the tool though; use the trial which lasts 2 weeks and gives you access to everything in the SE

I also had only 2 weeks to prepare and I wrote my debrief here. Good luck
