Strategy for one paragaraph readings

Hi,
While doing the questions in official guide I encountered some 1 paragraph short passages. My strategy for passages with more that one paragraph is to write down notes about general ideas of a paragraph in a way that when facing the questions I can easily refer to that paragraph. But just taking down general ideas in these 1 paragraph passages does not seem to be a good strategy while it takes time to find something specific. Does anybody have any better way to face these problems?

The way to tackle one-paragraph passages is to read the first few sentences carefully, while taking notes to get the general gist of the passage. Then scan the remainder of the passage for any 'structural words' at the beginning of a sentence that indicate a shift or advance in the direction of the argument and take note of where the passage is leading you. Examples of structural words are "However," "Nonetheless", "Moreover", "Secondly," etc.
