Allright...time to start!

by anirudhbhalotia » Wed Nov 24, 2010 5:30 am
Since last 3-4 days I have started looking for forums, blogs on GMAT!

Yet to get my hands on any books so far...I did a few questions at Grockit!

Downloaded the GMAT Prep from MBA.com.

With close to Zero preparation, today I took a full 3.5 hr test...scored a dismal 500! (Quant - 17, Verbal - 27) (Completed fully the AWA section also)

Even during the Practice questions at Grockit..I scored hardly in quants! So I was actually expecting below even 400!

But seeing the test results on many forums...500 is nothing!

I am aiming for intakes next year...onwards from August/Sep 2011!

I am aiming for GMAT in Feb or March 2011!

Can some one suggest what to do now!

In Quant I had zero knowledge from my school days...triangles, prime nos and so on..!

Shud I join an institute?

I can devote easily minimum 3 hrs on self-study!

Help! I want to beat the GMAT!

Thanks!

Since you've plenty of time ,it'd be better that you first brush up your fundamentals before you join any classroom program. Doing that will help you get the optimum out of a classroom program, if you join one.

I am really not sure whether I should join a classroom program or not.

As for the books, just making a final list of the names of books!
