As is the case with critical reason (str, weaken, assumption and inference), I'm sure math has specific questions that are tested more frequently.

I'm about to start the quantitative portion of my kaplan class but I also wanted to purchase some other learning software in addition to what I already have. I find it helps.

I purchased GMATprepnow's critical reasoning module and I was satisfied.

I would like to do the same for math but in an effort so save some money i'd like to know the frequency in which topics appear. For example Kaplan's first class is on algebra, arithmetic, and number properties. hypothetically, if only a handful of questions appear on number properties, and a significant amount appear in algebra, i'd rather purchase the supplemental material in algebra.

Hi Hutch27,

It's good that you're looking into which concepts are frequently tested and which aren't. I see a lot of students devoting a disproportionate amount of time working on relatively rare question types (e.g., counting and probability), when they should be spending more time on the "big ticket" concepts (e.g., percent and geometry) that will appear often on test day.

I believe that the Official Guide (OG) is a good indicator of the relative frequency of the math topics you will see on test day. The attached Improvement Chart (also available at https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/gmat-error-log) color codes each OG13 math question so you can get a good idea of these frequencies.

I hope that helps.

Cheers,
Brent
