I gave my first GMAT after total 60 hours of preparation. I scored 460. I read only the official guide. My Quant score is 34 and Verbal is 19 (had time issues)

Any idea how many hours of study will be needed to get a score near 680 ? Also does such a difference in scores looks practical generally?

That is a very big jump, but it's really up to your own abilities. And it's not really possible to guess how long it will take since it depends on the individual.
