This is a kind of practice question: This is easy for your GMAT prep on SC


Which sentence displays correct pronoun-antecedent agreement?

(A) Everyone enrolled in the lifeguarding class hopes to get their certification by the end of the month.

(B) The family is traveling around the world in a hot air balloon for its annual vacation.

(C) The store closed Sunday night to give their employees an unexpected night off.

(D) The remote controls need its batteries changed.

(E) In order to add variety to the menu, the chef prepared their favorite dish.

a) Pronoun Their(plural) is incorrectly referring to singular antecedent-Everyone
b) Pronoun Its(singular) is correctly referring to singular antecedent- The family
c) Pronoun their(plural) is incorrectly referring to singular antecedent- The store
d) Pronoun Its(singular) is incorrectly referring to plural antecedent- The remote controls
e) Pronoun their(plural) does not have an antecedent.
