How is Commercial banking working experience viewed by admissions committees? My understanding is that these candidates compete with the more prestigious investment banking applicants for seats.

Assuming that all other factors (gmat, gpa, ect.) are competitive, will commercial banking work exp. get me into a top 10 MBA program?

Thank you

It is not enough to say that this type of experience will get you in or keep you out. It is more about the specific experience you had with your employer. Early promotion? Extra responsibility? Key initiatives met?

If you have those then your job experience will be solid to make you competitive.
