Ok, I'm VERY confused!
I was told by everyone that Manhattan and Kaplan tests are the hardest and that the mba.com tests are the easiest. But I'm surprisingly performing better on these than the mba.com ones.
Can anyone suggest which tests to take to know my actual level since my exam's VERY soon & I want to know my level so that I don't go in expecting miracles. I've been preparing for almost 3 months now & my first kaplan test score was 450, quant 20, verbal 29.
So this is the order of tests taken recently (over a period of a month until today):
3 Kaplan cd tests - 550 (q33, v31) took it after almost 2 months of prep, 510 (q24, v29) I was in a terrible mood before this test lol, 540 (q33, v27).
Two online Manhattan tests (part of the 6 free tests set) - got a 630 (q42,v34) & 570 (q35, v33) - no repeat questions & I was ready to "rock" the gmat on these days! lol
1 online "free" Kaplan test - 620 (q38, v 39) - but the verbal section had 2,3 or maybe even 4 repeat questions!
2 mba.com test - 530 (q 35, v 28) & 550 (q 36, v 28).
Yes, if take an avg im probably at the 550 level so does that mean the 600+ scores were mere flukes? Or are those tests that I took actually easy? If anyone knows, please shed some light! Also, I always spend time going over the problems in these tests so that I don't make the same mistakes again.
Finally, I have been focusing most of my energy on math as opposed to eng (since that is my 'strength') and I can see a clear improvement while eng hasn't really improved as such always 4,5 points up or down. But then 'everyone' has also informed me that quant is way more scoring than eng and in eng one cant gain much over a short period of time while, the learning curve in math is very high. Any thoughts?
So, my exam's in 1.5 weeks....which test(s) should I do & do you think it's wise to keep focusing on the math only? To be honest anything over and above a 600 would be a blessing right now.
Thanks in advance!
