I don't know how/what to improve!

Hi all, just got 650 (Q46/V34) on my first attempt. I want to retake it and give myself a chance for a 700+ score.
I know I can improve my Q score but for my V Score I don't know what to do.
I understand english quite well. I scored a 112 on the Toefl exam.
However, I never got more than 37/38 on my V score (at home and during the real test).
Some people tell me to read stuff like Time magazine, The Economist and so on; of course it won't hurt but I think I need something more. If you have an idea, let me know! ;) Thanks

Did you go through the MGMAT SC and Powerscore CR Bible books?

I have been through the MGMAT SC but I don't know the latter.
I 'll give it a try!
What about idioms, would you know the best "GMAT"-like source for idioms?

Within the verbal section, what types of questions are you performing the best on and what types of questions are you performing the worst on?

Try using an error log. For each question missed ask yourself two questions:

1. why did I pick this wrong answer, and
2. why did I miss the right one.

Once you have a significant set of errors to review, you should be able to see patterns that will show you where to focus your efforts. Also, compare the letter answers you have chosen to the correct letters. If you routinely are selecting an answer that comes before the right answer you may be jumping to conclusions or not keeping an open mind, or even...not reading all the answers.
