Practicing questions for SC

by Param800 » Wed Jan 02, 2013 5:09 pm
Hello Guys,

I have gone through the basic rules of SC from Aristotle and Manhattan SC. I also practiced the back questions of each chapter. Before going to the OG 13 and Verbal Ed2 , is there any good source available for practicing questions ? Please Advise

Thank You

Get older versions of the OG. 12th and 13th are similar. So if you can find an even older version you should be good. Also, the GMATPrep software (mba.com) has 15 SC questions with the option of buying more.

There is really no better way to practice SC principles than to do OG problems. Strategy guides will give you the skills and content that you need to know, but in order to perfect those skills, you have to practice on the real GMAT questions!

The most helpful way to build those skills is to study topic by topic. For example, read what the various guides have to say on pronouns, then practice a dozen or so OG pronoun problems in a row. This will help you to develop an instinct for the ways the the GMAT tests these rules, and how to recognize them. The goal is to build pattern recognition. Good luck!
