Challenging classes- No application will shine if you don't have strong academic records. Admission officers will not be satisfied by just your extracurricular activities. It is very important to take up classes that challenge your minds and not money. Your core subjects need to have good grades. Your extracurricular activities won't help in calculating your GPA. Join classes that accelerate your knowledge.
Award winning Essays- Application essays are rated as very important in all colleges. Manage the space well. Essays have specific categories where you can list your accomplishments, extracurricular activities. Do not merge them. Be organized in writing your essay. Your essay should reflect your character.
Thoughtful essay topics- Avoid writing on bad essay topics. Topics like drug addiction, GMAT life, politics, and tragedy based events; comic scene, jail life (or anything negative related to you or your family) should be strictly avoided.
Recommendation letters- Recommendation letters are from the people who know you well and not from those who you know well.
