my supervisor (a required recommender) is old and not very good with online submission of recommendations. My supervisor is also not very good at english grammar (dispite been a noooo yawker for o entire life). What if my supervisor makes a few grammatical mistakes while filling out online recommendation? Would that impact me negatively?

p.s. My supervisor already submitted the recommendation online, so telling me to get paper copy and send it probably wouldnt solve the problem here.

Thanks for your help!

Dear bobular,

Grammar, spelling, and punctuation mistakes in your recommendations do not reflect poorly on you, but reflect poorly on your recommender. I would hope the comments made about your skills, abilities and work ethic are positive from your supervisor though--even if conveyed with many mistakes. Since it is already submitted, you should not waste more energy worrying about it. These types of errors in a recommendation will not result in a rejection of your application.

Good luck,
Lisa
