GPA Forgiving schools

by gpaprob1 » Tue Sep 21, 2010 4:34 am
Hi,
I am considering to apply european schools like Oxford-Cambridge-LBS-Insead and Which schools do you think forgive a low gpa around 2.2 for 750+ GMAT? Can you say some schools like this or which schools in US can give at least half-scholarship for GMAT 750+ with stellar applications?

Dear gpaprob1,

Since admissions decisions are based on a holistic evaluation of your application, there is not really a trade off of GMAT and GPA for scholarship awards or schools that are more/less forgiving for low GPAs. Whether or not your low GPA holds you back will greatly depend on the strength of the rest of your application--your GMAT, essays, recommendations, resume and interview. Many applicants have overcome a low GPA because the rest of the application was top-notch, made a compelling case for admission, and demonstrated that the applicants would be academically successful.

Good luck,
Lisa
