Hi,

I take my GMAT in a few days from now. I am finding it a bit difficult to shortlist the 5 schools where I can send my scores for free. I have heard some people say you should put your dream schools there and others who say you should be more realistic and put a couple of average schools to the list as well. I know I can send my scores to more schools later but I would like to make up my mind here. Please help me understand how to go about this.

Of the 5 school 1 should be your dream school 2 moderate schools and 2 safe.

Hi,

Rather than overthink the 5 schools that you'll list on test day, it might be better for you to figure out which schools best match your career goals and list those. Any additional score reports will cost $28 each (which really isn't a big deal). If you're applying to more than 5 schools, then you're going to spend extra money no matter what (so it doesn't matter which 5 you choose) but if you're applying to lots of schools because you think that you should, then that's not neccessarily a great plan.
