Hi Lisa,
First of all I wanted to thank you for responding so regularly to everyone. I've spent a lot of time on the site and all the feedback is very beneficial. I know you've talked about it ad nauseum, but had a few different questions about the alternative transcript that I haven't seen asked.
I graduated a few years ago and am looking to improve on my weak (2.5) undergraduate GPA, including having Failed quantative classes at times. I'll address my reasons (immaturity as a student, work) in an essay, but also hoped to build my application with an alternative transcript. My questions:
I found this terrific Pre-MBA math class at UChicago https://grahamschool.uchicago.edu/php/o ... hp?oi=4669 This class is all encompassing including statistics. I'm wondering, is this one class is enough since it's so extensive ? I feel like it would be repetitive to take another math class. How many classes are ideal for an alternate transcript? I'm thinking I could supplement this with an accounting class, but not sure what else I could really take (did well in undergrad econ already).
Does it have to be MBA related or can one take additional classes in other subjects just to show their maturity as a student?
Lastly, does it matter if the classes are from a reputable school/community college and is it ok to take online classes?? Online classes seem to be easier to balance with work, but not sure if those are viewed as favorably by admissions?
Thank you so much for your help, and I look forward to your response!
