I'm Indian, female, 25 years old, and a software engineer. I scored a 770 in the GMAT and have decent acads and extra-curriculars. How would you rate my chances at top-20 MBA schools?

Thanks,
Ankita

Ankita,

I would rate them fairly highly based on the GMAT score and your gender. The fact that you are Indian and a software engineer will give you the challenge of differentiating yourself, and if you have fewer than three years of work experience you will be something of an 'outlier' at most business schools. And, perhaps most important, you didn't mention leadership experiences, which are key. Feel free to send me your CV for a closer look.
