Learning strategy advice

by saidov.mikhail » Sun Oct 13, 2013 11:27 pm
Dear,
please advice me on the further strategy. It seems I've wasted 9 months already

I have started from 500 on GMATprep with Q29/V31 split. Then made a first trial on official exam and got 540 with Q37/V27. My second trial was few days ago and I got miserable 570 with Q39/V28 split.

I'm little bit desperate now because I went through both Manhattan guides and OG twice and there is no significant improvement. I have used BTG 60 days GMAT prep guide and followed it precisely

My target score is 650.

thank you for your comments in advance

H saidov.mikhail,

You're showing some improvement over time, but you're going to have to make some adjustments to hit your score goal.

If you can clarify a few details, then I'll be happy to offer some additional advice:

1) Where do you plan to apply to school?
2) Are you on any deadlines?
3) Have you used any resources besides the books that you mentioned?

Hi Rich,
thanks for questions.
1) Though I'm still in doubt, I'm inclined to apply to Canadian 1 year programs (Ivey, Queens)
2) Application process starts this January
3) I went through Princeton review and Kaplan GMAT Premier as well
