infinite gmat attempts

this qn may sound a bit silly but i need someone to throw some light on this

y doesnt the gmac restrict a candidate to a particular no of attempts say for eg 5 or 6 in a lifetime.tnx

You can take the test once every 31 days and can take the test five times in a given year.

There is no stated limit to the number of years that you can attempt the test.

So there is no stated maximum number of attempts.

Score reports that MBA programs receive give your scores from the last 5 years.

So you may want to keep that in mind. I have heard from admissions professionals that 3 times is no problem. 5 times or more could require an explanation from you as to why you took it so many times.

But remember that you are unique and so is your circumstance so do what you need to do to succeed!
