Hi All,

I have registered to take this class, and am currently going through the Math Essentials pre-course book. It seems really basic, and does not go through much material. I am worried...very worried.

I read really good reviews on the GMAT course reviews. Please tell me my fears are unfounded!

I have had a few troubles with this company in regards to consulting services, so I am hoping the GMAT course area is a little better.

Thanks in advance for any encouragement anyone can provide!

I don't like to take over topics when a student is looking for responses from other students - I Just wanted to jump in and say one quick thing - if the "Math Essentials" book seems basic to you then that is great. That is the information that you are supposed to have down before you start the course. That is why it is book "0". The other 14 books all correspond to full 3-hour lessons.

In the case of someone like you who already knows the material in that book you can say that the real benefit that you will get is that your fellow students will have also gone through the Math Essentials book and so there will be many fewer basic questions from the other students.

When does your online class start?

Good Morning,

My class begins on May 14th. I have the Saturday/Sunday course.

I hate to say that I have all the "Math Essentials" mastered. Certainly not. I plan to get through it all before Saturday.

I have taken a Manhattan GMAT class before. How do you think this class differs?

Thanks again!

I have had students who have taken the Manhattan Course who said that they learned quite a bit from our course and no doubt they have had students who took our class first tell them the same. So you will certainly learn plenty of new things...

This Veritas class is longer - 14 sessions. Perhaps you will be able to tell us how the courses differ after you have taken the course!

Good luck on the course starting Saturday. You will enjoy it!

HI David,

Just wanted to say I finished the course! Took it with two instructors (Verbal and Math). Great class!

My only concern is with my comfortability with the GMAT. I opted to study for a couple of months and take it in September.

I spoke with my current instructor, who informed me I am on the right track in my studies. I have my flash cards, and other materials. However, I noticed my knowledge is still pretty spotty in probability and combinatorics. Any suggestions on how to improve? Or, should I just review the module on Veritas Prep?

Also, any other suggestions for how to improve my GMAT studies post-course?

Thanks,
A
