3 weeks to the GMAT , please help...!!!!!

by kriti87 » Fri Jul 22, 2011 11:19 pm
Hi,

I am giving the GMAT in the 2nd week of August,2011 and I have given a few practice tests. Plus I have been studying from the Official Guides.
I have given the following tests and there has been a fluctuation in my scores.
Kaplan Test - 590
Veritas Prep - 590
Knewton : 590
GMAT Prep Practice Test 1 : 560
GMAT Prep Practice Test 2 : 640

I have given the 2 GMAT Prep practice tests only once each. So do you think this is a dramatic improvement in my score? I am really confused. Please help.

GMAT Prep P1 i gave on July 10th and P2 , I have given on July 23rd. Studying only on weekends and maybe 2-3 hrs on weekdays.

GMAT Preps are supposed to be accurate indicators for most people. Have you taken the AWA with the test or is this without AWA?

I suggest you dont read too much into scores. Just review the test and see what went wrong, what concepts you are missing etc.

And... don't panic. That should surely help. :)
Vineesh,
Just telling you what I know and think. I am not the expert. :)

I have been studying and I have tried working on my weak areas, Data sufficiency and Sentence correction and I can see an improvement in these areas. This is the score with the AWA. But on the GMAT Prep, the AWA is not scored. and It is not a part of score out of 800 also.
