Advice please

by stephc29 » Mon Oct 28, 2013 2:45 am
Hi guys,

I just made my GMAT exam and my unofficial score was 500. I need 550 to get into the school I want. I dont want to wait 20 days to get my official score. I want to go ahead and book a second GMAT exam. My question is will I still get the score from my first exam even though I booked for a new exam? And will I still be able to use my first score?

Unless you cancel your score at the test center (which must be done before seeing your score), that score will appear on your record. So, if you take the GMAT a 2nd time, both scores will appear on your report.

So, regardless of whether you reschedule another test, your recent score will be recorded and sent to you.

Cheers,
Brent

Hi stephc29,

Brent has properly answered your question, so I won't rehash that.

I'm curious about how you know that you "need" a 550. Was that a number that was quoted to you by an Admissions Officer for the school in question? Or is it guesswork on your part?

Hi Brent,

A minimum of 550 is what the school that I want to apply to requires.
