I am a 28 year old Physician from India looking to apply later this year
GMAT : 680 , Q44, V41 ( Will be re-taking the test around July - aiming for a 720+ score with a 80th percentile or better Quant score)
Academics:
* M.B.B.S. (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery : equivalent to a US MD ) from a top 20 Medical School in India, that has some well renowned alumni in the US and EU , M.D. (Forensic Pathology)
Undergraduate GPA : 67% average (MBBS), graduated in the top 10 percent of my class with a first division. According to WES this translated to a 3.7+ GPA
Work Experience :
* Total of 5 years work experience including implementation of World Health Organization programs, Medico-Legal consultation to a major Healthcare facility (Serving a population in excess of 300,000 people), Practice of Medical Jurisprudence and forensic Pathology (ME) while formulating and implementing key policy in support of a new legislation. My job basically involves integrating the technical and management side of the hospital and providing management and physicians legal consultation, in addition to working with the legal team to minimize litigation.
I am also a co-founder of a Non Profit Organization that has provided subsidized and/or free healthcare to over 5000 people till date and that has grown 3 folds in the last 5 years.
Extracurricular : In addition to co-founding the NGO, i have worked with an international non profit organization that is a world leader in providing reconstructive surgery to children and young adults that cannot afford it often in remote areas where we had to work out of temporary Facilities with minimal support. I have been a volunteer (and am a life time member) of a nationally recognized society that provides education and vocational training to Deaf and Dumb Children.
Post MBA: I am looking at a career in the health sector, preferably in consulting

I have till July - August before the colleges come out with essay topics, so will look to better my Quant score (and overall GMAT score) .
