Hello, Sushma,

From the information you've provided, I'd consider Cox an on-par target program and McCombs a reasonable reach - good choices. I can't say what the likelihood of funding is; however.

Improving your GMAT would make you all the more competitive at the two schools. It could also increase your chance of funding. Whether it is worth the effort depends on how certain you are that you can raise the score significantly with a reasonable effort.

Best regards,

Hi Sushma. Thank you for sharing a great question.

One strategy you can consider for boosting your overall candidacy (without re-taking the GMAT), is increasing your community leadership profile. Our professional group, USA Leadership Corps (www usaLeadershipCorps org), can help you accomplish this objective.

USALC partners with pre-MBAs who are looking to build their consulting, entrepreneurship, and/or community-involvement resumes by leading part-time volunteer nonprofit strategy consulting projects. Please visit our website to learn more.

Thank you again & good luck with your applications.
