Hi

I'm currently applying for an MBA to texas mays. I was wondering what are my chances?
Below is my profile
I am a Canadian
Four yrs. of work experience at admission
Applying for 2012 fall
2.8 GPA last 2 yrs.
GMAT 600/ 5.5 in AWA
Project manager in Oil and Gas industry for engineering consulting firm

Other schools I am appling for
Schulich
Rotman
Alberta
Calgary

Looking for one U.S. school but not sure if texas mays is the right choice. I am looking to goto corporate consulting in energy sector after MBA.

How about SMU cox school of business; in texas SMU is considered the best for MBA along with UT McCombs.

To be honest I didn't know about SMU till now. Seems like a good school, they're 12th in rankings, but with deadlines this week for Round 2 in most schools I gotta pick my choices now.

Are there any schools where one might stand a chance in Round 3 admissions?

As an International applicant you may still have a chance with SMU, even after round 2. I would suggest you to reach out to the admissions department to check with them.

Although you say this because SMU primarily attracts a large international student population or is it just easier to get in compared to other top 30 schools?
