Clear admit team,
I would greatly appreciate it if you could comment on my profile. I would like to apply to MBA programs in the fall of 2009 (for a 2010 matriculation):
Personal profile: White female, will be 25 at the time of application
GMAT: 720 (45V, 43Q, 6 AWA)
GPA: 3.7 (summa cum laude) at a top 20 US school, majored in Economics
Work experience: Currently in my third year at one of the top 3 consulting firms. I have been promoted once (to a position normally held by MBA grads), and am currently spending my third year abroad in Europe.
Extra curriculars: I am a bit lacking here. I volunteered with an NGO for ~ 1 year during my time in the US, but am not doing anything abroad (unless traveling as much as possible counts).
Career goals: Would like to get into marketing, and am trying to do as many consumer goods cases as possible.
Why now: My learning potential is at a plateau and B-school seems like the logical next step.
My questions are the following:
1) What are my chances at Haas, Wharton, Stanford and Kellogg?
2) Will the number of years of work experience I have be a problem with the Haas and Wharton applications? I know they have a slightly higher Avg. age / no. years of WE than the other schools.
3) How big of a problem is it that my quantitative portion of the GMAT is in the 68th percentile? I have taken the GMAT 2x, and do not think I can score higher. However, I have taken 2 calc course in college, and received As.
4) Will my lack of EC involvement harm my application?
Thank you for your time!
