Local state regulations require that a company disclose to its associates when a security breach may have allowed someone to steal a person's name and social security number, driver's license number or customer account numbers from their files or computer systems.

This question is testing the usage of idiom "require that" & pronoun reference.

"require that" is used in A,C & E. Eliminate others. Now, lets look at each of the narrowed down options:

A - require that a company disclose to its associates ..............driver's license number or customer account numbers from their files or computer systems
the pronoun "their" is used incorrectly. "Company" requires a singular pronoun reference.

C. require that a company disclosing to its associates ..............driver's license number or customer account numbers from its files or computer systems
Correct pronoun reference

E. that a company be disclosing to its associates ............driver's license number or customer account numbers from its files or computer systems
Correct pronoun reference, but the usage of "be disclosing" is incorrect.

Yes require is a bossy verb and therefore needs a command subjunctive(disclose)

Using "That" after the "require" is the first best option

As Vemuri pointed out it boils down to A and C

C wins over A since it does not have a ambigous pronoun reference

A company, An organization etc-> singular so we need to use its and not their

Thanks Cramya and Vemuri for response.

I chose E as an answer because I thought require needs BASE form of the verb i.e "be"

Subjunctive + that + ibase form of the verb...

So, it is not true that require always need subjunctive like mandate/ demand?
