1. Teachers grade conservatively to attract more students.
2. As per poll, students favour courses in which grading in lenient
3. As per registration statistics, high registrations are dong for courses, where teachers grade conservatively.

We need to find out the reason for this gap.

What is the teachers who grade most conservatively are too good or what if the teachers who grade leniently are bad or what if students already know that this is a strategy to make the class more popular. In these cases, they will not fall in the trap of lenient grading.
Option E says just the same by telling that students are aware about this strategy and thus do not fall into the trap.
