The correct answer is E.

Hi,
From(1): a>b
Let a=-1, b=-2
if n=2, a^n < b^n
if n=3, a^n > b^n
Insufficient
From(2): No info. about a,b
Insufficient

Both(1) & (2): Let a=-1, b=-2
if n=2, a^n < b^n
if n=3, a^n > b^n
Insufficient

Hence, E
