1/4 cup = 4 tablespoons = 12 teaspoons
3/8 cup = 12*(3/8)/(1/4) teaspoons = 12*3*4/8 teaspoons = 18 teaspoons

Another option is to first determine the number of teaspoons in a cup (this might help avoid any possible calculation errors)

4 tablespoons = 1/4 cup
Multiply both sides by 4 to get: 16 tablespoons = 1 cup

There are 3 teaspoons in 1 tablespoon, so 16 tablespoons = 48 teaspoons (3 x 16 = 48)
So, 48 teaspoons = 1 cup

To answer the original question, we'll multiply both sides of this equation by 3/8
We get: (3/8)(48 teaspoons) = (3/8)(1 cup)
We get: 18 teaspoons = 3/8 cups

Answer: E
