If n and p are integers, is p > 0?

(1) n + 1 > 0.

(2) n p > 0.

Statement 1: no info on p. Insufficient.

Statement 2: np> 0

both n and p could be positive, or
both n and p could be negative. Insufficient.

Both statements together:

Since n>-1, and np>0, then n>=1. Therefore, it follows that p must be greater than 0. Sufficient.
