Kaplan Maths

by rajmirra » Tue Jan 08, 2008 11:22 am
Hi All

My thanks to everyone who is behind this successful and helpful forum. I am from Canada and have registered to take GMAT on March 10, 2008. I have started preparing 10 days ago and currently working with Kaplan Maths work book. The book covers all the basics but I found the questions are very simple ( I am not at all good at maths, I have a Biology background). I am skeptical as if I will be facing tougher questions in the real exam. I also have PR, Kaplan GMAT, Kaplan Verbal workbook, OG 10, OG 11 and Manhattan SC 2007. Can anyone suggest me which book can I follow. I am aiming for a score above 600 and only decent Canadian business schools.

Thanks

I think you've purchased the right materials for your prep. In the Kaplan GMAT Premier book you will definitely find tougher math problems to practice with, but the real gold mine in terms of practice questions is OG. Pay special attention to the last 100 questions or so in each OG section, they tend to be the most difficult.

Once you have the concepts down--by studying with Kaplan, PR--I would spend most of your time studying the OG book.

Thanks Eric. I have Kaplan GMAT 2004. I dont know whether it is same as Kaplan Premier. Once I am done with the Kaplan Math work book I will start the OG-11.
