First Test to "Test The Waters" - 320

I took my first test before going through any book , material or coaching just to see where do I stand after leaving studies for almost 9 yrs. I have been working in IT for almost 9 yrs and wish to pursue MBA now.

I scored 320 in the free test offered by MGMAT.

Is it a very discouraging score to begin with?

It really depends on your target score. What score do you wish to achieve?

Also, I would consider taking a GMATPrep test, it's the most accurate indicator of your actual GMAT performance.

Hi Deep,

No score is too low to begin with.... As Eric says, your strategy should be first deciding your target score and then getting your basics right. I would say, start with Princeton review as it is easy to go through and clears basics. Then take the official GMAT Test to see where you need stand and identify your weaknesses.

Don't worry too much about the low score - going into a test completely unprepared with no idea what's in store for you usually does not bode well for you. Would a chessmaster enter into a poker tournament without any preparation? That first test was a nice way to dip your toe into the water....now the real preparations begin. GOOD LUCk!
