Hi there,
I will take my GMAT exam on the 19th of October, which is day after tomorrow. I have taken few practice tests in the past week and here are the results:
1. Kaplan CAT: 640 (q43, v36)
2. GMAT Prep 1: 750 (q49, v44)
3. MGMAT 5: 690 (q45, v38)
Should I take another practice test today or tomorrow? Or should I just relax and calm my mind down?
Any suggestions will be highly recommended!
Cheers
Should I take another practice test?

What's your target score?
I typically suggest that students achieve their target score on at least 2 practices tests before they take the official test.
Cheers,
Brent

Tough one.06agupta wrote:Thanks for the reply Brent! I definitely have 700 as my threshold score. So I should take one more practice test a day before eh?
I'm a big proponent of resting the day before the test. However, I think one gains a lot of confidence by achieving his/her target score on at least 2 practice tests.
If it's not too late where you live, I suggest doing a practice test today (Oct 17th) and taking tomorrow off.
That's my personal opinion on the matter.

Brent

Darn - I should have suggested that you take an official GMATPrep test. That's the most reliable indicator of your abilities.06agupta wrote:Took the exam. Not a pretty result!
MGMAT6 - 640 (Q43, V35) :/
What should be my strategy now?
Now I fear that this latest test has hurt your confidence. If so, I suggest you take one more practice test (GMATPrep). If you score 700+, then you'll feel a lot more confident going into the test on the 19th.
I hope that helps.

Perhaps take a practice test tomorrow morning, and then take the rest of the day off??

I think it's still quite reliable, although you will get some duplicate questions.06agupta wrote:I have already taken both the tests. Should I still rely on it for a fair assessment of my abilities?
Seeing duplicate questions can affect your score and yield skewed results that might not necessarily reflect your skills. This is especially true if you answer repeated questions quickly and bank extra time in the process. To mitigate this, I suggest that, when you do see a duplicate question, take the "usual" amount of time (1.5 to 2 minutes) to answer it.

Shoot! I'm sorry to hear that you didn't reach your target score.
Looks like the Verbal section gave you some trouble this time.
I'm certain that you'll get that 700+ score the next time.
Cheers,
Brent
