IMO A

d and e do not use "that"

Rest look wordy due to "because of ", "as a result of"

B and C also change the meaning..I mean "were they suffering due to food supplies...dwindling comes later"

I've got to go with (B)

D and E are out because "revealed creatures of the seabed that were suffering" is incorrect - the study did not reveal creatures, it revealed that they were suffering.

C is out because "suffering because of food supplies, which were dwindling possibly as a result of increasing" is overly wordy and imprecise. The creatures were not suffering because of food supplies, they were suffering from dwindling food supplies.

A looks tempting - "creatures of the seabed were suffering from dwindling food supplies, possibly as a result of increasing..". What's the result? Dwindling food supplies or creatures suffering?

Therefore, B. What's the OA?

OA - B.

picked the right answer. While reviewing, had little confusion,so posted it.

Here is another point.
possibly resulting from--modifies food supplies.So A out.

possibly as a result of an increase in--rightly modifies dwindling.
