kaplan diagnostic test

by preetha_85 » Wed Jul 16, 2008 8:25 pm
Hi all,

Just started my preparation.. took the Kaplan dagnostic test nd these were the scores....
total questions -38
total correct :32
total wrong :6
split up :
18 math; 15 right
20 verbal; 17 right
This test does not gimme an approximate GMAT score. Can anyone tell me wat this means.. as in wat will be my approximate GMAT score.

Thx in advance

Heyy in terms of accuracy, u did great!!..but again the test u tuk dosent seem to be a standard GMAT diag by kap [standard kap diag has 37Q + 41V question, as found on the actual GMAT]so I cant comment on the actual level of the questions and ur score!. Also the kap test I talk of has an inbuilt score calculator, so u wouldnt have to calulate ur score manually, it would do all by itself.

GMAT is a CAT and uses very complex algo to calculate our score, it is actually ver very difficult to calculate the score by no. of correct or wrng.

All I can say is that u've made a good start, way to go!! :)

Cheers!!

Hi ,
Thanks for the reply.. this is actually the Kaplan diagnostic test given on the kaplan website for which u get access when u buy the kaplan book.. nd probably since its a diagnostic test (i suppose it is only half the length of the actual GMAT). Thanks again

Kaplan tests are notoriously inaccurate, so I would not use it as a diagnostic at all. Use GMATPrep.
