Query regarding age

by Nox40 » Fri Dec 18, 2009 11:02 am
Hello,

I'm 31 year old female and planning to take GMAT in April 2010.
I want to apply to the B schools for fall 2011.

My question is, when I start my MBA I will be about 33 years old. If an applicant is 30 plus years old, could this be held againt the applicant ?

Another question: In an MBA class the age range of schools that I have mentioned below is 24 to 33 and avg is 28.
Will they not review my application ?

I have seven years of work experience now. My GPA is 3.38

Th schools that I want to apply are:

NYU Stern
MIT
Boston Universtiy
Tepper (CMU).

Please let me know.

Thank you

Hello,

Your age will be a slight weakness for those MBA programs, but not a disqualifying factor - it will mean that your application will have to be particularly compelling to spark their interest. But those schools will definitely consider and seriously review your application if you are fundamentally qualified and present a solid application.
