Which schools should I target?

Which schools should I target?

Could you please evaluate my profile and help me in choosing the right schools? I am interested in Entrepreneurship and Consultancy.

Basics
29, Indian, Male, IT

Undergrad
1. Metallurgy Engineering from one of the reputed non-IIT college from India.
- University Rank holder for 3 consecutive years
- 68.8% (Indian Schools does not calculate GPA, is there a way I can convert these % to GPA?)

2. MS in Software Engineering from BITS India.
- Successful career switch.
- 7.29 GPA on a scale of 10.

GMAT
710 (Q50/ V35/ AWA 5.0)

Work Experience
7 years FT (3.5 year onsite USA)

2003 - 2004: Worked for TATA Automotive group of India as a suspension design engineer.

2004-present - Working for an Indian IT company. Currently located at client location in USA. Two promotions in last 6 years.
I am handling multiple responsibilities at the client location like: Project coordinator, Team Lead, Subject Matter Expert and Developer.

Extracurricular
Current EC:
1. Community Service: Team lead of the community initiative team of the company. Helping multiple local/national non-profit organizations through company's CSR policies.
2. Passionate about playing Chess. I also teach chess to few local kids as a hobby.

Undergraduate EC:
1. Started a national level paper presentation competition for the college
2. Caption of undergraduate and high school chess team.

Startup involvement
I am involved in my friend's startup IT Company as a consultant, to help him setup the onsite-offshore communication model. Also guiding them on what processes they can develop and follow with-in the company to speed up the delivery process, and minimizing the defects.

Target Schools
My dream school is Chicago Business School and Wharton. But not sure which other schools I can or should try. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Thanks for your post. Overall you seem to have a solid profile. However, it's important to point out that you do fall into a very large applicant pool and thus it might make sense for you to consider applying to a couple of schools that aren't in the top 5. Great programs to consider might be Duke or Darden. I suggest rounding out your school selection with a couple of top 15 programs to help balance your chances of admission.
