OA is A but i believe it should be B

I think in B you are unnecessarily adding a relation to the events by adding 'since'.

OA should be A

Hi Sana,

B distorts the meaning of the sentence. It seems as if Joseph Lister lent his name to the company just because the campaigning was successful; otherwise he would have withdrawn his hand :-)

Option A just shows the co-existence of these two events and does not give the hint of causation.

Please let me know if this clears your doubt. Also, let me know whether you have difficulty eliminating other answer choices.
