Those who have visited the Grand Canyon have typically seen layers of sediment in the gaping canyon, with different colors that mark the passage of time like the rings in a tree trunk.

I went with (A) on this one...Can you explain your reasoning for eliminating (A)?

In D "with...." modifier is an adverb. doesn't it mistakenly says people have seen with different colors

Also whats wrong with WHOSE in B

A has same modifier problem as in D... can someone throw light on this issue

Oh hey, another one from 1000SC that is ambiguous. After looking at it further, you can make an argument for A or D. I think I would switch my answer to A, but I'd have a hard time differentiating between the two.
