I had a question regarding the usage of "it" and a semi-colon.
Marconi concieved of the radio as a tool for private conversation that could substitute for the telephone; intsead, it has become precisely the opposite, a tool for communicating with a large, public audience.
This is from OG12 and is the correct choice.
Here, the "it" is referring to the radio, as per the explanation in the book. But i got this question wrong because i felt that "it" could refer to the telephone OR the radio, hence ambiguous.
Please help me out here..Thanks in advance.
