IMO E

"design allows it" (it is referring to the turtle) so b/w C, D, E

C, D out beacuse it does not have "allows it"

My pick is C. I beleive E is not correct since "so that" is not the correct idiomatic usage, it should be so X that Y.

Hi ildude02,

See the sentence construction.
The tortoise has a design ..... so that attackers wil find nothing but that skull.

more over in option C .. why is the word for used uncessarily??

Please correct me if i am wrong

IMO E.

allow is wrong => A / B gone.

that usage is wrong => conveys different meaning => D gone.

C is wordy (for) , nonparallel (usage of that after 'and'), illogical.
When you think you can or you cannot, you are generally correct.

The only reason I didn't pick E was becoz I wasn't sure about the "so that" usage. I know that generally you would use so X that Y, where X and Y are parallel. But maybe we can use use "so that" without clause/phrase in between them.

the particular design - singular
-> verb singular , eliminate A, B
- allow sb to do sth - eliminate C, D
i go with E
Please share your idea and your reasoning :D
