Top Tier Chance

by namethegame » Fri Oct 19, 2012 5:00 am
Hi,

I'm planning to prepare for 2014 apps. I still don't have GMAT result, however I still enough time.

I've worked 1 year in Ernst&Young as an assistant auditor, 2 year in L'Oreal in Modern Trade Sales Channel, 1 Year in Henkel.

On top of that, I've been working for GSK for 4 years. 3 years as Modern Trade Channel head and 1 year in an over-the-country role.

Now, I work in Commercial Execution team for Asia-Pacific-Latina-Africa and Middle East.

I'm working on a very big project with key emerging markets like Japan, Australia, Brazil, Argentina, Turkey,Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan etc.

I think, my career progress will be a strentgh.

However, I have a low GPA which is 2.56.

In order to offset my GPA, what score should I target to have a chance in top-tier schools in full time MBA's? ( Harvard, Colombia etc.)

Thanks in advance

That is going to be a tough one to overcome. You should be aiming for high 700s to show that your GPA is not reflective of your ability.

Also consider taking a class (or two) in an analytical/quantitative area, like stats or econ to demonstrate to admissions officers that you have the academic qualifications to perform well in their highly rigorous core curriculum.
