Hi, i've posted a question a while ago and no one ever got back at me: What time of day GMAT is administered? I know there is 9am, any other time slots? I am posting this question because no matter how hard I search I cant seem to find the answer. I am about to start running through CAT's every week and im trying to simulate the conditions to the best of my abilities.

Second question: a while back someone in this forum said that veritas CATS arent actually theirs, since they dont develop their tests, but use from some other major test prep company. Is that true?
Lastly, any other worthwhile tests besided official CATS on mba.com and MGMAT? Oh, and anyone knows the website where I can download the old official CATS from mba.com (there used to be another set, the one they offer now replaced the old ones about 3 years ago).

There is a great deal of flexibility built in to the time of day one can sit for the GMAT. You can usually schedule the time of day that works best for you. I am a morning person (caffeine makes me smarter), but that is just me.

Additionally, we like to think that we have really good CATs; they were designed by the gents who wrote the algorithm for the actual GMAT. Your score on those will accurately mirror what you would have score on the real GMAT that day.

Thanks guys for all your help! And Josh, does knewton sell just the practice CAT's alone or you have to purchase the whole course?

I took the Veritas full length (42 hrs.) classroom course for my preparation and was given access to their 15 CATs, five of which were Veritas Prep tests. The rest were from Arco, 800score etc. However, all these tests have their share of problems regarding markedly different level of questions and significantly different scoring algorithms. Based on my experience, I will suggest that you take as many practice CATs from as many companies as you like, but only for practice sake. Rely only on the GMATPrep tests for scoring.
