Founded in 1983, the magazine increased its circulation more than double since then, and its advertising.

(A) increased its circulation more than double since then,
(B) has since increased its circulation more than double,
(C) has since more than doubled its circulation
(D) since then more than doubled its circulation
(E) more than doubled its circulation since then

Official Answer: C
Please explain.
Thanks,

its circulation should be in last due to parallelism with its advertising...A,B,E out

D looks awkward

C is the answer.Hope it helps

Hi,

I worked on this question exactly the opposite way.As in 'its circulation' should be in start.Plz explain why it should be in end.

I looked for something like:
the magazine increased its circulation..blah blah and its advertsing blah blah(if any).

Thanks in advance!

I think apart from Parallelism

"Increased" is redundant.

e:g: Magazine circulation increased to double

Magazine circulation doubled

latter one is more concise.
