by salma » Sun Nov 04, 2007 1:13 pm
Hi,
I have taken the GMAT twice and scored 530, 540, no comment I know :)
I am planning to retake iy in four weeks and was wondering if it would be a good idea to take the week end preparation of Manhattan..do they have a strategy or what to get scores of 680 and above.
i don't want to waste time and especially MONEY that why if someone has already take this prepa plz let me know..and tell me in what way was helpful for you!!! I don't need someone to tell me about the GMAT, how does it go and so on...you understand, I know what does the test look like...
Thx

Hi, please be aware that we don't offer a week-end course. I believe there's a company called Manhattan Review or something like that and they do a week-end course, but that's not our company. I have no idea as to the validity of their course, but I am generally skeptical of any "cram" course.

My company actually does a 2-week "cram" course and, whenever people ask me about it, I tell them only to consider that course if they absolutely cannot take a regular course, but if there is any way to take a regular course, they should do that instead. (In fact, we only offer the cram course a couple of times a year, right before applications are due, for people who are desperate.)

Cramming for anything is just not going to make a big difference.
